Thanks Valcano I am hoping & determined to be. Yesterday's experience wasn't pleasurable & I am not BSing myself it wasn't 'real gambling'.

Half-life I won't adjust again & all future emails will be deleted if they get past the blocks now in place. I seriously don't feel I won yesterday. I will never win back the money or time I've lost to gambling.

Thank you Half-life great to know. I don't think in today's world I will have many days without gambling ads' temptation is everywhere.

Volcano I've changed my profile picture to Bertie so you can put a face to the name!

Day 2 GF

Up ready for work & shattered already. I am not going to use the fact I am tired or stressed as an excuse to go back to gambling again.

Day 3 GF

Having the odd urge to gamble but as I sit learning a new job that is even more boring than the last, I remember how much money I've lost & the need not to feel bad about it any longer & to be fully aware of the fact I am CG & addicted & need to move forward without gambling.

My wife forgot to drop my dog off this morning so I needed to walk him & as I did I found a £20 note that's the 2nd one in a few months.

Hello Redham. Hello Bertie.

I love story's like how you bumped into Bertie, as they say pets chose you, not the other way round. Use the unconditional innocence of the pup as a spring board to a gamble free life.

You can learn a lot from reading around this forum and starting by pouring heart to the Mrs a good start. You said from your first post that your Mrs possibly doesn't appreciate how bad your addiction is ? She won't, especially it being such a mind f*****g behavioural addictions us addicts can't fathom ourselves !! Keep her in the loop and also possibly encourage her to seek support for herself as you'll no doubt go through a roller coaster of emotions that addiction has kept under wraps.

Going back to Glints first post and some other posters, find away that suits you. Will power is a tool, yet possibly a risky one if the only tool.

We're all Same, same but different, find what suits you.

You also said that you've set a target off 100 days, admirable but possibly easier and less pressure of you to go bite size in one day at a time. There's a couple of challenges on the ' overcoming ' side of the forum, it seems to help alot as they help to drag people through the weeks.

Keep reading, mixing and posting

Day 5 GF

Starting to enjoy watching sport again without the stress of wanting my bets to come in.

I spend so much time in front of a pc at work with my new job that online gambling doesn't appeal & I am now work miles from the city centre so no temptation of FOBTS so all good. Much easier not to be tempted when temptation is not around every corner.

Day 6 GF

Honestly don't know where I found the energy to gamble & gambling when you're tired is one of the worst things to do.

Day 7

Off to footy today.

The temptation for a little flutter is always there, I know my addiction much better now & just a small bet can be the path back to major losses.

Day 9 GF

I am 5 weeks in to a temporary job & really bored of it already. My old job stressed me out due to a few horrible people & boredom again. All reasons I went gambling during my lunch hour often longer (flexi time) it never made anything any better & it never will.
