This is daily topic post 99. When I started to create a list of recovery topics that I wanted to post to remind myself I also listed a few that I know little about. I was hoping to learn more but thankfully two experts have come to the rescue so I have two big posts coming up for Wednesday and Thursday this week written by them. No spoilers but they were eye opening for me and I can't thank them enough.
I wrote another poem, it's not great but I wanted to post it today as part of my pledge this week to get out of my comfort zone.
Come Join Me, Join the Fun
Only remember what you've won
I offer you more than a simple dream
Just sign up for life to the losing team
Slots in the headlights mesmerised rabbit
Formed demise in behavioural habit
Ghosts from the past brought me chaos
Building momentum through every day loss
Numbness stole any control
Excuses aplenty to deepen the hole
Stress, Boredom, loneliness
Anything to blame on something else
Desperate to scheme for more and more fuel
What started so young, never looked cool
Look in the mirror, there's more than one flop
For God sake Stuart, Why can't you stop !!!
