Day 5 today. Feeling determined to stop! Woke up early so I'm sitting in costa have a tea and coissant (I think that's how you spell it). £2.50 is all that it cost, why didn't I do this before spending £1500 in 45 minutes! I feel so angry with myself, this time I have to do it.

morning chris,

the money youve spent you have to forget about it mate and move on. take 1 day at a time and youll soon get to milestones (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month) etc and that gives you extra motivation, i can see you have reached them stages before but have relapsed. put all the barriers in place to help you stop (self exclusion, k9 software may help, finances dealt with by a family member or truster friend, dont carry much cash etc etc). these all help mate, honestly.

anyway, i wish you the very best of luck in youre recovery

cheers ben

Day 32 and feeling determined to crack it this time. About 4 years ago I stopped gambling for a year and I managed to save a good amount of money!! I haven't gambled for 32 days and I'm already feeling less anxiety. I know I can't get back the money I've lost over the last 16 years but I still cant help but think about how much better life would have been if I didn't gamble. I used to work to play the fobts and I really regret it. I have always worked hard, I used to work in a pub after working a full time job and all I did was gamble that money away!!! How stupid!! I would see a pair of designer jeans for £100 and think to myself how stupid people are to pay that and tbis was whilst I was spinning £100 PER SPIN on the roulette machine. I hate how gambling makes me feel.... This time I'm stopping him for good!
