Yep just had my hair done at salon to look nice for him ; I usually couldn't afford to do that because I gambling but now that I've been cutting down of had a little more money in my pocket. Not a lot but I figure there's nothing wrong with spending a little bit on something besides gambling.
Getting excited I drive up north to the airport and my hotel room which happens to be by the casino tomorrow night after work. To fly out very early Tuesday morning. Getting excited to go to Florida and see my significant other with the fresh new shiny new knowledge in my head of his strong feelings for me that I found out about. I hope it is a wonderful vacation. I have much look forward to in life besides gambling right now. Feeling grateful.

Put it this way I don't expect a proposal on the trip the information I found out it's too soon if he would've just started looking for a ring at Cetera and deciding that he does want to get married so I don't want to imagine that would be a lot of pressure on him and he would've gotten ring bought by now and everything because the Conversation he told to a family member of mine who let it slip was only just a day or so ago very shortly before our trip but I am still thrilled that he's decided he wants to do this and I don't want to have any extra Expectations as to when it will be. I want the timing to be a surprise to me and not to dwell in upsets over when he will do it just to enjoy the knowledge that he loves me that much. Does that sound dumb?
No that doesn't sound dumb. You are right, him showing unconditional love for you is more than enough..let the events roll and ya never know when you'll get the surprise. Best way forward is no expectations, so just enjoy your time! I'm sure you will

Thank you all. For the well wishes about my boyfriend and I. I am going to be patient I don't expect anything to happen on the trip. I think if he is going to propose that might be more the fact that he's going to do it now I don't have any mindset of when it will be. Or expectation of when it will be. I must be honest, as I always try to be on this forum . in that is what is for. I did gamble a bit tonight. So no I'm not going to let myself much gamble tomorrow night as planned as I figured tonight was my weekly gambling night Since I gambled . Grr. Tomorrow nite Will just go to the hotel and go to bed early and wait for my flight tues.
Mean I am taking gambling off the table for tonite since I gambled last nite.
Also I need back to go back to living my debit card at home if I'm going by myself as it could've been bad there for a bit luckily it turned out okay. That's why my hand to my mom when I go with her. Incidentally, maybe that's why I find it easier to control when I go with her; she will keep my debit card away from me if I ask her to!
Good on you for being honest & great decision not to take your card in future, that way you are restricted to only the 'free' play! Maybe part of you controlling this could be to not gamble when you are alone? Be strong tonight & have a wonderful trip 🙂

Yes, agree with ODAAT and really appreciating your honesty. I suppose you know the reasons why it happened last night and unplanned event took place. Good decision of skipping tonight's gamble and getting back on track.
Ya know you can always post here if you find it hard to fight the urges on your unplanned gambling day. Every little helps.
