Good Morning World

First day of my hols, only 6 weeks and 2 days left , it's hard being in education lol

Well , have been feeling apprehensive but when it arrived yesterday i don't really know what i was worrying about, so i have alot of free time on my hands but i am going to embrace each day as it comes 😉

Lot's planned already, another trip to the Cumbrian Fells in a week and a bit , good for my soul up there , i feel i come home as i drive in and the feeling to let the monsters out is amazing 😉

The feeling you get on the tops is like your on top of the world and nothing can touch you, apart from the fact your about 26000 ft lower than Everest lol lol

Anyway my plan is to just go with the flow, not fret too much about money, enjoy my time off for what it is, recharge those batteries for the new academic year and relish every day i remain bet free!

Life really is for living and the only way we can achieve it is by making the choice to not bet!

Today i will not gamble

Today i will smile

Today i will go with the flow, who knows what that will bring but i know for sure as i continue it will be just d**n good!

Keep Strong all

Smiling, relaxed , chilled , no work Lucy xxxxx

Thanks for the post lucy, I am green with envy all that time off.

Enjoy it and take each day as it comes, time flies and you will be back before you know it, you sound like you have lots of plans already to keep you busy and feed the soul.

You son is 21 soon wow, thats an expensive time, my eldest was 23 in may so all the big birthdays are out of the way lol. Hope you have something nice planned for that.

Enjoy your time off lucy.

What a positive post Lucy. I used to worry about free time a lot just in case I got bored and self destructed through gambling. My life was one dimensional then. It's nice to read that despite having time on your hands now you are relaxed with that. You're very strong now and you are in a far better place to resist any urges. Teaching is stressful, enjoy the break, enjoy 'Lucy time,' you deserve it. Enjoy Cumbria too, should have some sunshine by then, 3-4000 feet is still a hell of a climb. Maybe one day Everest, who knows?

Yo,

6 weeks, jealous so does not describe it.

Not that I begrudge you or Jon one minute. My girls are 23 and 19 , going through the 14 / 18 stage was hell on earth , but I only had to get them out the door , dedicated people like yourselves had to take over .

So hats off to you , but really wished I could have 6 weeks off ................. But hay ho such is life .....

You sound like happy Lucy , which has a knock on effect on us all.

Enjoy your mountain climbing , as the fairy has retired , no piont looking out for dusty lol

Take care , have fun, and like you said just take it a day at time , cause that is so much more relaxing .....

I love it when the landscape changes up the M6 and there are some *** that look like sleeping elephants... stunning....(just before Tebay)....

Hope the fresh air makes you sleep better hun....nothing worse than being restless and thee brain whizzing round...I think its me glands..LOL

Your doing a super job on here Luce and always positive even when you have down days...its great to see all the familiar names when we log on isn't it? and shineys post is just the ticket i think ...like a reel of good vibes ..

Have a good break hun..I assume the cirriculum (or whatever paperwork you do) still keeps you prepping during that 6 weeks but in the meantime enjoy and you deserve it..

hugs and hikes

Stay busy during the 6 weeks, eh? Boredom is a trigger for many of us on here to pull us back into the dark, evil world which we call gambling.

It's all about getting the balance right of being busy whilst having time to relax after all your hard work.

Enjoy your weekend.

Good Morning World

And what a glorious morning it is too 😉

Well been a week since i finished work for the summer and have not stopped really

Been busy busy busy!

A few days chilling last week then a visit to a friend on Friday for a few beverages and long chats about this journey we are on, lots of talk about the why's , what if's etc and good to get it out there!

Visited the folks on sunday and had a great day by the beach soaking up the rays and getting very tanned!

Monday was my birthday, lots of thoughts in the morning, this was the first time in years that i would not be gambling, always used my birthday as an excuse to really go on it big time, have always finished work and would have the day off to just gamble gamble gamble BUT not this one, done the garden which killed my back then out in the evening for a few , well alot actually , even headed into a resort with loads of tempations and did not even give it a thought , i was just out with a friend having some magners celebrating my bet free life!

How do i feel , bloody fantastic , really proud i'm still bet free and can enjoy days out, visits to family and spending time with friends all because i am not wasting another penny on gambling.

I have money in the bank , am going away for my therapeutic fell walks at the weekend so life again is looking sooo much better!

A friend has been going on a bit about me not writing on my diary and that i need to sort my block back on and i've been very very stubborn saying it's ok but today i woke knowing he is right so have swollowed my pride, admitted his right and am going to get the block back on today, Thank you for perservering in making me see sense, you have alot of patience! lol lol

Ex trying to wangle himself back into my life and making things difficult but know i must remain strong as it would only lead to disaster if i went back!

So today:

I will smile

I will laugh

I will sit in the sun

I will be proud i'm still recovering

I will just enjoy being Lucy , no bets, no worries, no feeling like i'm the worse person, no regrets!

Thanks for all your support as always

Hope all have a great bet free day!

Smiling , bet free , proud Lucy xxxxx
