Hey,

How is my fave fell walker? Sounds like a pretty nasty injury you have there you never strike me as a rest and recuperation kinda girl more of a action packer lets get it done lady :). I say to you mayb mix the two and be careful.

I think to steal Duncs phrase you are making the Right Choice and have been for quite some time now, the only real problem with that is it makes us reflect far too often on all those times we made the wrong choice. I wouldn't say locking it away is necessarily the wrong way, it is a way. I guess the only prob is it may always just lurk ready to get you down again.

I think smiling Lucy deserves nothing but the best and I really hope that's what you get going forward 🙂

Have a lovely weekend.

Flagg

Hi Lucy

Fantastic last post can totally relate to everything u say , the positive is u understand why and what made u gamble , yes it doesn't make it any easier on how we feel, facing up and dealing with it we av to do but we know gambling is not the answer and never will be

Life carries on and we av to carry on with it , the corner has turned in ur life and it's only goin to get better sometimes it feels as though it isn't goin to and that break will never come

It will come and hopefully we will be here to see it be proud of far u av come I know I am

Iv always said I feel close to u with having many similarities in our lives , I av so much respect for u and always will

Ok that's enough way too nice a post got my credibility to think about lol

Take care and stay strong , I know u will

Lucy,

That was an amazing last post. Your journey is an adventure that much is clear. Sometimes it will be hard work but you will be rewarded in the end and along the way.

I hope the injury gets better.

Tomso.

Good Morning

First Thank You for all your posts , much appreciated as always xx

Wow! What a past week, the hurt i have felt cannot be described in words, this is one tough journey!

When past times come to the forefront screaming to be dealt with it can become so overwhelming, when it is something that happenend a long time ago you really do not know how you are going to deal with it so you can move on. Knowing it has been something that has added to the need for gambling and it comes back to haunt you the first thing that comes to mind is to go back to escaping even though you know it's not the solution.

It takes all your self belief to try and move on, forgive , believe that a higher power is helping you and making sure that you realise gambling is NEVER the answer.

I know that by gambling i was reinforcing my belief that i was not worthy!

Have i put this to bed, to be honest i'm not sure yet as it is still so fresh in my mind and still hurting like no hurt i've felt before but i know with time i will heal and i also know i can make my life what i so need it to be as long as i can forgive.

I'm back home now and not feeling too well, think i have man flu lol!

So for now it's a good reason to chill watching our fantastic olympics with a reminder that to be the best we have to put everything in to achieve the Gold!

So today i know i will not bet, i will believe that life is so much better even if ghosts come back to test that resolve.

Today i will smile , just because i can , just because i know i'm a good person and that by remaining bet free i can continue on my journey.

This is really becoming a journey of self discovery, one that hid behind the gambling because i did not think i was worthy of being happy.

I know today i am worthy of that and am only believing with the help of some fantastic people i can call friends , Thank You!

Keep Strong all, it may be tough but the rewards of living a gamble free life are so worth it!

Lucy.

Great post, I hope you can chill out for a few days and get over your "man flu" lol.

I know with each day we make the choice to not give in to those ghosts and feelings our lives will improve, the improvments are i find not always plain to see but Lucy, just for today make that choice as I know that if nothing else that priceless smile wont be wiped away, just for today that my dear friend will surely be enough.

Lucy your resolve is strong keep exercising it.

Duncs stepping forward never back.

Hi Lucy

Once again another great post from you. What I find inspiring about your recovery is that you recognised very early on that there were certain demons you needed to exorcise in order to move forward with your recovery. But what is most impressive, is that knowing how impatient you are, you took your time and dealt with things as and when they came out.. rather than pushing it.

I know the changes you have made in your life since giving up gambling and the pain you have gone through but you have continued to meet each challenge, no matter how hard, whilst remaining gamble free and with a great big smile on your face!

Very, very proud of you mate!

Yo,

Yes my honey you were always a good person.

Because I do not believe anyone of us is or ever was bad.

I think for what its worth , that once we can accept that ( I am still work in progress on it to be truthful)

That we stop blaming ourselves for everything that has gone wrong in our lives , in our nearest and dearest lives , in the lives of our friends , the people we work with , the people who live in our street , the fact that it rained on people in new York today lol

Like you said be gone , as we strive to be the best we can be , we need to let something's go , guilt is one of them.

Hope you are snuggled up and taking good care of yourself . Enjoy the oplimpics , .....

Shiny xxxxxxx
