Just nosing about on the diaries and spotted I did not pop by to congratulate you on 5 years without a bet. I'm sorry about that. Truth be told I was avoiding this place like the plague for much of last year. I'm in a better place now though. I still look back fondly on the support that you gave to me in my early time here. I just wish I could have been as resolute as you have.

Anyone stumbling on these pages looking for a bit of inspiration should start right here. It is possible to quit gambling for good.

Happy new year to all my old friends and to anyone who has joined this forum recently.I very rarely come on here these days gambling takes no time up in my life anymore,although i still watch every sport which i gambled on.These days i watch the whole football game or the whole race instead of tracking my horse or first goal scorer.Life is so much better without gambling.i didnt have to worry about my kids presents this year or indeed any of the last 6 years. i wish i had a magic wand and could make everyone gamblefree alas i havent but i can tell you it is worth all the hard work in the end.Even now if i have problems,the gambling demons come back to haunt me,but believe me each day we get stronger,until we can crush those urges without a second thought. I suppose i have come on today because it will be soon many peoples new year resolution to give up this horrible addiction and i just want them to know it can be done.I cant say i have beaten this addiction,but i can say i havent had a bet for over 6 years and i feel im winning on points but i will still try for the knockout.all the best to everyone jeff
