Good to see you posting. Really hope you will stick by and keep reaping the benefits of life.
I get what you mean saying this site kept you on straight and narrow. However the hard work was done by yourself. We can be here, support, listen, laugh & cry...yet you're the one leading the way forward.
This site is absolutely amazing...reading, learning, talking, sharing. Gambling is nasty addiction as you know yourself. Only working hard and never letting ball from your sight can work wonders.

Good to have you back, never give up on giving up. Keep searching and learning about your behaviours. Only you can find what you have lost in the process of blindness and it's all still there - within you.

I think it may have been your addict's brain, the one that told you you could go back to gambling but be in control this time (that is what happened right)...It's bull & accepting that has been part of what has kept me safe coming up 2 years (you weren't that far behind me Ginge)! I'm slightly older & if not a little wiser than the last time we really spoke, I have come to see recovery slightly differently! I did put blocks in as you know but I've been handling money & back in possession of my card since day 91 so the only 1 I maintain is the transparency, even if that does mean flogging the NM on a semi regular basis!

I've tried GA, even kissed a frog (counsellor) & Day@atime is now my go to guy for anything addiction related, lost friends along the way, found new ones & still have a mountain to claim I suspect but climb it I will with any & every tool I see fit to use as & when I need them!

Only you can decide how long to stay on the pitch Ginge! I hope it's forever - Juuuuuune

Thank you for your post once again. I take it as you're here to stay and didn't just come by to say hi! ☺.. very good and as you know support is here unconditionally.
A lot has happened while you were absent from here. Let me bore ya a lil ok 😉
I had maybe 12 lapses (just thought of once a month blips)
I had a very nasty time where i upset few users on here and even got moderated! (Lesson learned)
I am a year older and maybe slightly wiser.
I am still in contact with ODAAT and we talk, rant, swear, giving silent treatments, laugh and support each other as good friends does.
I am now illegal in this country too so ya can try and catch/ find me if you can! ;-))))
I have also started vollunteering and getting out is doing me good (still a lil scared of society but little steps forward huh)
I also ditched drink! Yes..i learned that my mind was under the influence more than i could admit to it so am on a path of sobriety! (Feels good)
I am in the same job and still lacking sleep!
I'm still not perfect but still and truly Coo Coo you happened to see on here all nearly 2 years ago ☺

Nothing changed & a lot has changed huh...

What is always the same - i keep learning and embracing my every day with a fighting spirit for making that right choice!

Good to have you back....doesn't feel like you left tbh...but good to talk to you!

Yes, vollunteering took off earlier this year and what a feeling! If i help even one soul, my mission is well and truly accomplished!

Drink is boooo...lol..i didn't say that while held that glass firmly in my hand while pressing spin button with the other tho :-/..don't miss those times at all...besides, even if sleeps is rare occasion it's well worth to get up clear headed than with a hangover.

Hope you're feeling better recently and are back on recovery train & comfy in your seat.
Have you sorted your blocks out? Self exclusions?
Every little definitely helps and hope you're feeling safe if nasty urges arrises.
