Whoop whoop šŸ™‚

Couldn't agree more about BBW, she's gone right down in my estimation! Fortunately those adverts make me cringe - they're so sneaky, dropping in names of the most seductive games not just to seek new custom but to try & tempt all us real winners back! Let's never give in to their evil & hope that one day in the not too distant future someone important will realise that they are promoting addiction & put a stop to the nonsense! Until then, turn over, ignore them, or just GRRRR @ the telly like you would do if you were watching football!

Congratulations on your 1st double century Mark, you have every right to be proud of you šŸ™‚ Keep winning - ODAAT

Hi Mark,

Isn't it great to wake up & start the day on 200 days rather than a gambling hangover & full of regrets? Congratulations I am delighted for you! This is your time now and you can do it. Treat yourself today, it is well deserved. Cheers!! Suzy

Day 200 šŸ™‚
Thanks for all of your kind comments.
Ive actually not got anything major planned for today.
Looking forward to the wimbleton final, i'll be rooting for federer, after his amazing preformance against murray I think he deserves another title.
What is great is that I have absolutely zero interest in having a bet on the match.

Wishing you all a gamble free day. Look after yourselves.

Mark

Thanks for your lovely post Emily, it really does help in my recovery, knowing theres plently of people who, like myself, know what its like to be a problem gambler and take time out to give their support.

All I will say to your good self, and I know you already know this.. Is your addiction will be at its strongest whilst your 'processing' your recent losses. It will try and encourage you to attempt to win back all your losses. I know because its happened to myself hundreds of times. I know that just like me, the time has come for you to commit to a life time out of the gambling world which is why you have to accept what you lost has gone. Trying to chase that back will just put you into an even worse place than you are now.

Stay strong Em, you can build the days up again faster than you think.

Mark

Hi Em,
Good to see you still in positive spirits šŸ™‚

Yes over 200 days is crazy!! I remember getting to 100 and that was around about my longest ever period of not gambling in years and years.. the days have just flown by since, it'll be August soon, dont know where the years gone!!

My finances are soooo much better nowadays. Dont get me wrong.. I still have debts of 7 plus grand but 18 months ago I was in a proper hole. I couldnt dare gamble, I just didnt have the funds, I was living on payday loans to get by. My credit report is ruined. But anyway, all payday loans are finished with. Now I just have 3 credit cards, bank loan thats nearly paid off and a few hundred from provident the doorstep loan sharks lol. So ive got around 300 quid disposoble income every month (in the past this would be my gambling money but noooo way im giving that away any more!!). So I treat myself every month, new cloths, trainers dvds, cds all bought this year. So you could say um already treating myself šŸ™‚

Once my bank loans paid off I'll have a lot more disposable income and i'll be looking into treating myself to sky tv as ive only ever had freeview :-/

Im also wanting to join the 21st century and get internet connection, get myself a laptop so I dont have to do everything from my god d**n phone!! haha

And yes, first thing I will do is install blocking software to it!! šŸ™‚

Britain at the bookies...

Poor poor Stuart, really felt for him. I hope he's turned his life around.

One other thing that bugged me was the deception about the man utd corner offer and the suggestion that everyone got 'free money'... we all know that not one single customer would have been allowed to withdraw tgat money and close down their account. They shouldnt have been allowed to portray that offer the way they clearly did.

Yeah so did I Suzanne.

I would deffo offer some support to him if he was. I lived that kinda life, although never out of work like him I could see how his mind was working and what the addiction was doing to him.

yes I know what you're saying GT

it was a little bit uncomfortable seeing how stuarts scenes were edited into the program. It seemed to me that the main filming team offered lots of wide angles to get into the background all of the bright lights and machines, whereas stuarts scenes were all close ups and felt claustrophobic. nobody interacted with him at all. it's like the staff said yes go over there and film him on the machines but we don't want to get involved with talking to him are offer him any advice on camera

Still gamble free.....

Was in town today tho, day after payday, time on my hands, over a hundred quid spent on dvds, cd 's, some clothes.
Was raining cats and dogs and ended up sheltering in a bookies. Maybe I wanted to test myself... Was watching some people on the fobt's. Playing slots not roulette which i found weird.... Anyway I stayed 5 mins and walked out quite proud of myself. Treated myself to a pint in a nearby bar. Better to spend 3.40 there that 340.00 in the bookies!!!
