Oh so true.

But let's not forget , when you reflective back to the here and now. They will not be with remorse and regret. They will be of satisfaction that you had the for sight and determination to turn your life around.

Long may it last.

Back to work this morning after the Easter break and I'm glad to report things are still going well. I enjoyed the US Masters without a bet and watched my Liverpool finally get a win last night! 2 weeks tomorrow until payday and although things are tight this month I should get through no problem.

It's amazing how many sporting events I don't mind about missing now i.e. Grand National, FA Cup Semi-final etc. In the past not only would I have made sure I watched them I would most likely have a bet on as well. It wasn't that I was afraid of gambling if I watched them, just that I wasn't bothered about seeing them!

A thing that has grabbed my attention recently is the amount of adverts for various betting sites, they're everywhere!! Instead of roping me in it has the opposite effect as I'm disgusted at how they glamorise gambling and try to make it sound like an enjoyable hobby. One of them has the tagline 'It matters more when there's money on it' is absolute lies. Instead of enjoying a game of football you end up watching the clock waiting for the torture to end, well I did anyway lol.

Well I must say I'm looking forward to payday on Thursday as I'm 'scrapping the barrel' so to speak lol! Gonna pay a good bit off the holiday and some off the credit card as well. Glad I don't have any of those payday loans coming out anymore, I hope they've seen the last of me coz it's pure robbery the intrest they charge. My football season is almost over which means I'll have all day on Saturday's free. This could be a test as the amount of sport on a Saturday is more than any other day but I'm confident I can refrain from throwing away any of my hard earned cash.

It's a great feeling when we are able to say that we can keep all the money that we earn and not give it to greedy gambling bosses.

Well, apart from the everyday bills, that is!

Have a great weekend,

NT

This is gonna be a long month! Don't worry I'm staying away from the gambling but money will be tight this month. I over spent at the weekend and forgot to factor in a couple of utility bills. On top of that I've got my Mums birthday, cosuins birthday, end of season football dinner night and my brother is home for a weekend also!! It's fantastic having so much to do and I am grateful but as all these events are happening at different times throughout the month it's gonna cost a fortune! I've got money saved away but it's for holidays and don't want to dip into it unless it's absolutely necessary.

It will be easier from next month as it will be the last payment of a loan I had to get because of gambling 😀

It's been a couple of weeks from my last post, I've been busy enjoying this great weather we've been having 😀 Payday today so after the usual deductions my budget for the month is the most it's been in a long time! My last payment of a loan is coming out in a couple of days which will leave me £160 better off from next month on so things are defo looking up.
