Almost 8 week's now. And I can honestly say I'm no longer plagued by gambling thoughts at all.
Reaching out to my mom and dad was probably the best thing I could do. Although I've told them before I never went with details
Maybe just snippets or a light gloss.
My dad has been better than any counselling session could ever be
Because he's the man I look up to most in life.
He always knows what to say
Like don't look at what you could win. Look at what you're set to lose. Is your wife and family worth risking? Be happy with what you have. Not what you could have. Why work all week and lose it just because it's a buzz?
I've taken the weekend off work this weekend. And this morning I took my dad and bought him a few things. Spent a bit of time together. It's good to make new memories especially one's where I'm in a better place..
I've even taken the kids pumpkin picking today. Which by the way are 5 times more expensive than buying them in the supermarket? Go figure. But where's the fun in picking one off the shelf.
Tonight the whole family is going to a fireworks show. Which I'm looking forward to.

Your dad sound's a wise and wonderfull man mate and youv'e done well to follow his advice , bit sad to hear he's the one you look up to though I alway's thought I was your one true love , sob , sob pweeeeeeeeeegh ( that last bit was the nose blowing by the way) LOL .

I must admit you do sound in afar better place these day's and as always when things are good I'm made up for you coz you deserve it buddy :))

We always say total transparency is the way forward and that proves it really mate , did you see the pumpkins on the news this morning , made to look like Donald Trump with comb over straw hair ? Brilliant !!

"Laugh if you will " LOL ! L P M L at the thought of you shaving your leg, are you sure it's not because its grown back quicker than the other ? Razor or Immac and did you do the chiffon test ? :)) . I had to do that for my Vasectomy many years ago , I trimmed it up a treat , went for my appointment and was told to strip down my bottom half and lay on this trolley thing all in the comfort of a cold temporary portacabin that the hospital was using at the time , so there I am and all these women coming in and out no one really doing anything and people just walking past along a corridoor that ran alongside , cause everything was shriveling up with the cold and embarresment of it all when in walks finally someone in a white coat who proceeds to tell me that the Doctor wasn't available and the op would be resceduled for later but not before taking a look at my weeny bit's and saying two words that I'll never forget " Nice Shave " , she then asked did I want a note to take home for my wife to prove I hadn't just bottled it !! w*f ! .

No I always seem to end up in the thick of it don't I but unlike others I just cant walk away , so the lack of self control extends beyond gambling then eh ? , I'm not going to comment further as I've left a msg for Paul and he can do with it what he will, I just didn't think the comment was needed , nice to know your still talking to me though .:)).

Toad was a pest but I agree he sort of diverted your attention from other issues at times and yes I kinda miss him at times coz it was always interesting hearing what he'd had for brekkie ? . Not sure about the industry dividing us , I think as in life on here you get on with some and others just get your back up from the first word they utter , I've got distant family that do the same tomme so it's no wonder I dont agree with everyone on here , probably why their distant ? .

Regards your injury , your no different to me , you just can't take the time off and sit on yer B.um much as we'd like to occasionally it's not that easy as it sounds is it me old mucker , so you have my sympathy and empathy if it's any good to you , it's like me with the hip pain and my doctor saying take a couple of weeks off and rest ! Great , thanks for that can you pay all my outgoings then for the next 2 weeks ? .
