Rock bottom - time to change!

Day 3 well it's been a tuff one. Thought about slots all night tried to keep busy. Made tea, watched football, cleaned the kitchen but boy was I tempted. But in bed now safe with just my phone which I never use to gamble with.

Will be a hard few weeks ahead, I have to pay off a mountain of payday loans this Friday. But I know if I don't gamble my life will be better. night night all x

Morning Annie. I found the first few days very hard, it was like I was in a trance because the urges seem to be really strong but as each day passes it feels like the bonds that tied me to gambling are beginning to slacken. stay strong, your doing well!

Hi Annie! I agree with stupid (even tho he ISN'T stupid)! ...... The first few days are the worst so far as the urges go BUT they do lessen. Remember the awful feeling after gambling? That's what's keeping me going right now! Even without any money in bank account you will start to feel better in yourself.....lose the panic and self loathing. Stick at it. YOU WILL WIN WITHOUT GAMBLING!!! Take care. Helen. X

Day 4 is over, but it's pay day tomorrow, so I have planned my day so I don't have any free time. I am determined to get through tomorrow gamble free. Night night all x

It really makes it impossible to play if you take one away

Thanks Helen, unfortunately payday loans have taken all of my months pay in a day. But I know I'm at rock bottom it can't get any worse if I don't gamble.IT WILL ONLY GET BETTER x day 5 over no bets well done me x

Day 6 Done! Kept busy, not thought to much about it, going to bed early. Night night all x

I thought it would be easy, well I slipped up! Feel so bad why why why! What is wrong with me. I know I will not win! I don't have the money to spare, but bet after bet until it's all gone. I'm trying to stay positive but there is not much to cling onto. ok so

Step one I will self exclude, I thought I had but I sure found one last night.

Step two I'm going to get a gambling blocker on my computer.

I stupidly thought once I had decided to give up, I would not do it anymore.

Day 1 starts again!

Sadly it's not easy but you have learnt a lesson here take it as a big positive and well done for admitting your slip

Carry on walking forwards head held high because you are on a recovery road and you will be stronger now and more determined to keep abstaining and maintaining one day at a time

Hi Annie! You know where you're going wrong and you CAN fix it! I think you're "chasing".... you have no money so you're hoping you can get back some of what you've squandered??? You KNOW you WONT!! Ever time you DONT gamble.... that's when you win. The rennet you were going to put into slots, 20, 30, 50 ..... you get to keep it!!! You might have no money now but you haveLESS debt when you DONT GAMBLE!! Be strong! Helen. X
