Did nt know whether to come clean or not with this one, but it's been on my mind all weekend so I will spit it out.

Me and the wife went away for the weekend on a city break could not believe my eyes when I drove up to the hotel Friday night, that not only was there was a casino joined onto the hotel but one across the road to.

Cut a long story short we ended in the casino for a drink which both me and the OH did not really want, but a fair amount of alcohol and lack of will power got the better of usThen for me to watch people playing roulette which is my nemesis was not my finest hour, but at least I did nt gamble.

Nothing to confess then mate...Great work resisting temptation 🙂 Just be very careful that this doesn't set you back because you are doing brilliantly!

Other than the guilt, I hope you had an amazing weekend! Stay strong - ODAAT

I'm so chuffed that you're noticing the small things now & I'm sure your daughter had a wonderful party with her daddy's undivided attention!

Thanks again ODAAT for your support:-) 10 weeks today personally I like the sound of 70 days better.

Well it's my big day tomorrow I am moving aboard and to a country where gambling is forbidden,I am sure that there is ways round it but at least there won't be bookies round every street corner, and adverts on in between every football match giving you live odds.I ve been doing well but must admit this week the thoughts and urges have been strong.I ve been reading a lot of new stories and feel for everyone who is fighting this addiction, but people stay strong, and just think of all the bad times and money lost from your actions that's what's been helping me stay away.I easily forgot the bad times and only remembed the wins.

Hello everyone, just a little update the move aboard went OK its taken a while to settle in but getting used the cultural and temperature difference's.

I am missing my family but no thoughts of gambling which is a good thing, the country I am in will not even let me on this forum on there internet I have to go though a VPN to view it so online gambling is made hard to access.

Good luck to everyone and let's all keep fighting this disgusting addiction

I've just been reading some new/old posts while I ve got a spare few hours and just thinking how horrible this so called (harmless/little flutter/just at weekends/having a dabble, past-time) is literally killing people.

I ve read about people who are very close to ending it all because they feel there is nothing to live for.

How can we go from enjoying a few quid on something to losing 10s thousands of pounds? I suppose Greed, loneliness, shouting out for help and boredom are the main reasons, but why do we keep going down the same road of destruction time after time? knowing what the outcome will be? This is the million dollar question I suppose.

Hope everyone on here can find I way to beat this horrible addiction and put some happiness back into your life's.

Welcome home Mark 🙂

No harm wishing they'd all go broke...Wouldn't it be great if that happened in our lifetime 🙂

161 days stronger than you were! You can do this - ODAAT

Well done Mark and I'd be interested to know how living in a place with reduced access to gambling helps? A very good concept.

Anyway, well done.
