Thanks guys for your support , 253 days and not out.

Last night I got a sudden urge to gamble, dont know why, my 2 year old was playing with one of his toys which made a sound that reminded me of an old machine i played many a moons ago, and i had this maddening thought, id love a wee gamble right now! Then reality hit and i came to my senses, i cannot win as i cannot stop! 7 little words that make so much sense.

Life has been so so so much better for me without gambling , for anyone reading this who s still gambling please stop , it does get better.

I've a lot of demons in my life and I've so far managed to kick this one, ive got to be honest i've still got some demons to beat, alcohol being one of them, I drink far far to much, its become a sort of crutch. The mixture with gambling was horrendous, drove me to the point of suicide/madness!

I need to cut down on my drinking. perhaps and probably most sensibly knock it on the head completely like i've managed to do with my gambling!

Apart from that im doing ok, familly all pretty good and dog back up on his paws, i've so much going for me, i need to start appreciating what i've got in life, and stop moping so much lol

Anyway take care all and will try and post more reg!

Peace

266 days , thinks ok in my end, though my youngest has a vomiting bug and im feeling a tad queazy today so hope im not on way on getting it.

Thanks for the posts guys, the days are sure racking up , and to be honest there's been no real major temptations just the odd thought which i've quickly put it in its place.

I know folk shouldnt really set mile stones but i'd like to be in that small % of a club that makes the year, it would be a real achievement for me knowing i can do it, however, I dont want to get out of the one day at a time mind set also.

Has a nice week off last week spent some nice time with the kids and went to a pretty big golf tournament in my neck of the woods which was good fun.

Nothing really new to report, happy no one else got the tonsillitis, having a lot of gambling emails and texts to my phone, as per normal just deleting and blocking. Two weeks off next week 🙂 Hope weather stays like this. Nothing really planned but loads to do around house etc, and some fun days out with kids.

Hi Gav, thanks for dropping by 🙂

Hope you are enjoying your time off & have a little treat planned for your forthcoming 300th!

Don't beat yourself up too much about compulsive purchases, as long as they're not edible maybe consider having a cooling off period between purchase & use (assuming you don't rip everything out of the packaging the minute you are out of the shop like yours truely...Why do they make it so you have to tear the box)?

If it's a car you're after, recovery is the way to get one & it may take a while but you will get there - ODAAT
