Ok so today is the final straw I want to be reading this back when I have overcome this nightmare that I am living in. I am 25 years old I have been gambling roughly 3 years now I have racked up an amount of £20,000 debt. After many nights crying feeling hopeless, upset lonely depressed it goes on and on I ask myself why? When I gamble I don't enjoy it no more it's become a chore an impulse something I have to do and whether I win a large amount it's just a number to me and I end up throwing it all way knowing whilst I'm doing this I need to stop but it's as though I can control my thumb pressing spin on the slot machine like I've been possessed. I have lost myself tomorrow is a fresh start a new day I have arranged a counselling session and have joined this site it's time to fix... MYSELF!!!

Hi Anna, I know where you are coming from and you will find many more on here that can relate to you. As you play online are you aware that you can get free software called K9 to prevent you being able to gamble?
There is a chat room here that runs from 8pm-9pm every night where people can go and chat and seek advice from other CG's.
Do you have anybody at home that knows or that you can talk to?
As for the debt, personally I have a debt management plan with Payplan. They along with Stepchange they offer free advice and support. They do a breakdown of income and expenditure and then what's left over at the end of the month goes to the creditors which they deal with.
Hope you get the help and support you need. It won't be an easy ride but it is possible so long as you stay strong.
