Wow. I know I have been absent from here for a long while, life has been crazy! I’m so pleased to say logging in today to see I am 149 days gamble free is a crazy feeling..
I won’t sit here and write that it is easy or that the urges have completely gone but I really feel better. I feel positive. I am appreciating every single thing I looked through and never noticed before.
Each day I still battle, but I’ve come this far and refuse to go back.
To everyone starting their journey out, you can do it and will do it. I am still reminding myself each day that I will not gamble.

I did it again. I am so ashamed of myself. Why can’t i be a responsible person.
@e4uif7mxo9 don’t beat yourself up about it. Honestly, I failed multiple times before finally staring myself in the mirror and truly saying enough is enough and meaning it. I hated the person I had become, but knew only I could change the person looking back at me. Put the blocks in place, all of them. I kept saying I had when in reality I didn’t, you can and will beat this. One day at a time. Every day is still a battle for me, but every morning I wake up and choose not to gamble for today.
Hi Haystack, well done. I know you have struggled but keep going, there is no better feeling than being able to see clearly again and appreciating what we have rather than the obsession of gambling taking up every minute in our heads
