Hi Steve,

I hope you manage to see a bit of the game today mate. I think we will have enough to see off the Germans. I can see a narrow win and no need for extra time nor the dreaded penalties.

I'm off to bed now as i am on the tee at 830 in the morning.

FORE!!!

Hi Steve--thanks for the post on my diary.

Yes I suppose my social life did suffer whilst I was gambling but at the time what I was doing was normal for me so I almost certainly did not feel that it was suffering at the time. I think it is only when we allow change to enter our lives that we realise the waste of time, money and effort that we endured whilst gambling.

Life in every way is better than when I was compulsively gambling.

All the best

hi steve,

i was reading your last post on Sat, and that you had to fill in for someone at work, and it wasn't a problem for you - isn't it great to help other people, because now or minds aren't focused on gambling?

i used to get very angry if anything came up that would interfere with my gambling time -and now i feel good when i get asked to help out my family, maybe taking my sister home in the car for example (instead of sitting in the arcade thinking of nothing and no one else).

stay on your recovery Steve, you are a much better man because of it,

tommi

Hi Steve,

Just giving you a nudge mate.

I'm assuming you will have been a bit gutted after the defeat on Sunday? We should know what to expect from this particular crop of players by now though mate. Perennial underachievers.

If you have not posted by 9pm tomorrow i'm sending out a search party!

Hi Steve,

I'm having to send a search party out to search for the search party now mate!

I hope everything is ok mate. Maybe you are too excited to post at the moment what with super John Oster inking a new contract with the Donnies.

All the best pal.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the concern, but everythings ok. The only problem was that my computer has been knackered. My mate's fixed it today so i'm back in business.

Only had a few minor urges over the last few days, so on the gambling front i'm not doing too bad.

Can't believe the Germans beat the Argies so easily this afternoon. England might have been put out by the eventual winners?!

Anyway, gonna catch up on a few diaries now.

Stay Strong

Steve

Great to see you back mate.

No sign of that search party though. I'm a bit worried about them to be honest.

I've never watched Scarface either mate. Got it on dvd but never got round to watching it. Will get it sorted.

Hopefully Sheffield United will let you have Billy Sharp for a reasonable fee. I think their fans call him Billy Blunt as he has not banged in many at Bramall Lane.

Not long until the new season now and i cannot wait.

Hi Steve,

Hope you are having a good week mate.

I watched the last episode of LOST again the other night and sobbed again! It's going to leave a big void in my telly watching now it is gone. I'd imagine you feel the same.

If you can think of any other telly shows worth watching then let me know!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your posts Curly and Post.

Post - Shiels is a quality player and adds plenty to our squad, and very inspirinng considering his eye problem. Speaking of additions to the squad, we have just signed Billy Sharp which is a major coup for us. We might just have the fire power now to see us push towards the play-offs this season. Here's hoping anyway!!

Curly - I've watched the last episode a few times since it's finished and , yes you're right, a few eye watering moments have taken place lol. I've just got the box set of seasons 1-3 so i'm gonna start watching all over again. I'm quite into Lie To Me at the moment. Might be worth a watch to see what you think.

First day off for a while today so i'm gonna try and get through all the jobs that i've been delaying doing. Also, gonna try and pick up the guitar and learn a bit more today, i've only got as far as a few basic chords so far, so need to improve. I've got to say, that I can do so much more now that i'm not gambling.

Stay Strong

Steve

Hi Yorkie

Really good talking to you in chat tonight. So you're learning to play the guitar? I play the guitar - I'm not great, but can play enough cords to sing some songs to. I write my own songs too. It's a good outlet for emotions. Hope you enjoy learning. Maybe you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! -lol

Take care

Lili
