Hi All,

Thanks for all your supportive posts. I've had a bit of an crappy few days. Had to pay the robbing solicitors this week so that's set me back a fair chunk of my wages. Starting to wonder what's the bloody point in doing overtime just to pay that bill!! Doing far too much work as well. Ok, that's out of my system now.

The biggest positive is that i'm still gamble free. I'm also signing up to a course at work on Thursday if my manager let's me. Which means I can get another qualification whilst still working and best of all it's free.

Gonna check out a few diaries now. Take care all.

Stay Strong

Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the post mate. I'm fine thanks. I've decided to stop updating my own diary on here as i'd rather not argue the toss about whether or not i should or should not spend any of my hard earned cash having a bet.

Good win for Doncaster on Saturday. I always have a smile when they get a win for you and the same with Coventry for Seano though sadly they got a beating at Millwall.

I wouldn't want to have been in Monty's shoes picking three from five from Molinari, Harrington, Casey, Donald and Rose. I tend to agree that Harrington should have missed out as his form over the last 18 months has simply not been good enough. I'd probably have gone Casey, Rose and Donald myself.

The main problem i see with the Ryder Cup is the weather what with it being played in October. It's going to be very wet and very miserable i would have thought.

Keep strong mate.

Hi All,

Well i'm afraid i'm gonna follow suit with a few of the other diaries and have decided to see how I go without using the forum so much.

There are two main reasons for this.

Firstly, I'm finding it hard to find constructive things to write on peoples diaries like some of the others.

Secondly, a while back I decided to make myself take up new hobbies to fill the void that gambling left, and if i'm honest, that combined with a lot of work means that i've not got as much time to sit and read these diaries and post my progress.

However, never say never, and if i'm back posting next week please don't crucify me :-).

Finally many thanks to those who have helped me reach where I am now. I will come back now and again to see how everyone is doing.

Stay Strong Everyone

Steve

Just a foot note.

I've been writing on a few diaries to say thank you and i've realised that there are far too many to thank personally, so thank you to Freda, Jac, Jim, Lili, Russ, Ryan, Ade, DaveP, the list goes on and on. Enough of the oscar speach now lol. Take care all and stay strong.

Hi Steve,

I know what you mean about running out of things to say but i always find myself coming back to this place and i think that speaks volumes.

Do whatever works for you mate but do keep popping in from time to time as it will stop you getting complacent.

You are a good friend mate and i wish you well.

Hi Steve, well done on your efforts thus far. I too am getting to the stage where I will become less dependent on these pages. Be sure to keep popping in for a read now and again. As we both know, once a gambler....always a gambler. It's just how we control it that matters. Take care fella. Russ

Thanks Jeff, Post and Curly,

Well i'm gonna give an update on my recent feelings. I decided to not post at all for a while to see how I got on and i've got to say that things have gone well as far as not gambling is concerned, but i've noticed that old devil popping up on my shoulder every now and again, and the urges have been more than they have been for many months. I've resisted and if i'm honest have popped in to read a few diaries a few times (a kind of mental top-up if you like).

On a personal note things are a bit tough at the moment and i'm due in court on the 7th to sort out the financial side of my divorce. It will be the first time i've seen my ex since the day I left nearly 16 months ago. A bit nervous if i'm honest because I don't know how i'm going to feel. Any advice on how to avoid a panic attack very welcome!!

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Stay Strong

Steve
