Thanks for your posts guys,

I've had a very long day at work today, so haven't had time to gamble although conversations about Cheltenham are rife at the moment, can't seem to get away from it. Determined not to get involved though.

Stay Strong

Steve

Well done in not betting at Cheltenham mate. I managed to watch 4 of the races-thought it was great. Have not missed the betting but have missed seeing my mates.

Stay strong tomorrow.

Cheers for the post Steve,

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is a decent golf swing. You will have good and bad days on the course but it you keep practicing then you will become a better player. It's also a great game for keeping out of the bookies as it takes so long to get a round in!

I hope you avoided Cheltenham today. I was watching the results come in and noticed that it was not a good day for favourite backers. It was ever thus. Still if i was laying the favourites on ******* i guarantee the results would have been different. Sod's law mate!

1 day down 3 days to go. Easy!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the support. I've put myself in a bit of a bubble this past week, of work work and more work, to avoid the obvious temptations, and i've managed it which i'm very pleased about. Although I do feel a bit guilty for not helping others on here this week though, I just felt that it might remind me that it was going on, and I know it's not a long term strategy, but I felt that I just wanted to ignore everything except work this last week. Forgiven??

Anyway, hope all managed ok. I'm gonna check a few diaries now.

Stay Strong

Steve

Hi Steve,

Cheers for the post on my diary.

I'm glad you feel guilty about not posting support last week. I blame you entirely for me having a dabble at Cheltenham. Why could you not have been there for me in my hour of need? I could end up getting divorced by the wife over this and it will be all your fault Steve.

Just kidding mate. I'm delighted for you that you managed to get through the week and whatever methods you employed clearly worked. It's great that you and others take the time to help others with their recovery but no recovery is more important than your own. You are doing great.

For my part i have decided to get back on the straight and narrow and i am going to do it with a smile.

Cheers for your continued support.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the post on my diary mate, it's those comments of support and encouragement you get from people that keep you going... I'm sure you know that by now anyway!

Well done for abstaining as long as have, through you're upsets in your personal life and through Cheltenham, keep it up mate!

James

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your posts. I've just realised that i've done over a month now, so suppose that's ok.

Only sporadic thoughts of gambling this week so far, but again, i've worked a lot. I was looking forward to being off today, but i've got to go in tonight now because of illness. In the past something as small as that disappointment would have sent me straight to the bookies, but not now.

Instead i've watched England easily beat Bangladesh in the cricket and then caught up on friday's Lost episode (what on earth is going on with the parallel 'what if the crash didn't happen thing'. Well confused. If it ends up being a Dallas style 'It was all a dream thing' I will want to throw my tv out of the window!!!!)

Anyway, Good luck today everyone.

Stay Strong

Steve

Great posting Steve.

Lost is as baffling as ever but i believe that tomorrow's episode is one of the best yet. Apparently the American critics are raving over it and lots will be revealed.

I think it is brilliant mate. The best television programme ever. Well after Chucklevision naturally.

Let's hope it all makes sense in the end.

Great to see you still giving those gambling demons a good kicking.
