Well done Craig on your ten days of 'sanity'.
Your day out sounds great - here's wishing you many more happy times.
Joanna
Thanks Joanna.
The day out was great and exactly what was needed.
Now on day 17 and feeling good about the world. Was even able to chat at pub with clients about Scottish National and no temptation to go to bookies.
Wilk update more over coming days.
Craig
Thought I'd better get my backside on the forum again as it's been nearly 2 weeks since I last posted.
The good news is that I haven't gambled in those 2 weeks so that takes me to 30 days gamble free.
I have had a few temptations, including at the services today where I would normally have a few quid on the fruit machines.
But I resisted so am proud of myself.
I am off on holiday to Turkey for 10 days from Tuesday so there'll hopefully be no temptations whilst I am enjoying the sunshine.
Once I get back I will be more actively posting.
Regards
Craig
Hi All
Back from holiday and still no gambling. A few temptations (especially with the last games of Premiership). However, now 49 days without gambling.

Craig

Keep making the right choice for you.
Abstain and maintain
Duncs stepping forward never back.
Hey Craig,
Have just been updating the numbers tonight for the 2014 Challenge and noticed that you would be in the half century club this week - congratulation fella, that's great going! Delighted that you're managing to win and don;t forget if you want to come back and join us on the challenge then we'd be delighted to see you there!
Keep going strong,
Mr Brightside
Thanks Mr Brightside
I'm still going strong and now onto day 79 now. Had some really strong urges recently (especially Derby day), but have now managed to understand that I can't just have 1 bet and that it would lead to more money and time wasted.
The World Cup will be a test for all of us I am sure, but my way through will be to think that at the end of it I will have broken my 100 days.
Good luck to all.
Craig
Update
I have not been using this site as much as I should. However, I am still avoiding gambling and today is day 120. I have had a few urges, especially the fruities at motorway services, but have managed to steer clear.
The next few days are going to be tough, I think I mentioned before (possibly on someone elses thread) that my wife and I have not been able to conceive naturally and were going to embark on IVF. Well Friday marks D Day. The day we find out whether she is pregnant. It's the toughest thing we've ever done and puts gambling into perspective. Giving up gambling is easy compared with having to go through IVF.
To everyone out there struggling to cope with gambling you can do it, you can change your life. It's a horrible addiction/disease but with will power and other peoples help you can do it.
As ever stay strong and good luck to everyone whether on day 1 or day 100.
well done on staying gamble free and wish you well in concieving all the best , but whatever happens stay gamble free, all the best tryer
Today marks day 140 of being gamble free and it feels great. It's still very difficult to resist especially with the Premiership almost upon us, but I feel like I can beat this horrible addiction.
Good luck all
Craig
