Yes, I've said that a million times but this time it HAS to happen.

I'm slowly destroying myself. I have two amazing kids and one on the way.

My poison of choice? Online roulette, been playing it on and off for about 8 years and lost SO much money during that time. Didn't gamble for around a year straight and I had so much more money! I don't know why I started again but it's showed me that gamblers can never truly be recovered.

I have self excluded from most websites but will always find new ones when I'm desperate. Going to write here every day to keep me focussed.

Today is day 1

Thanks for commenting Emily, can the blocker be removed? As I really wouldn't trust myself to leave it on the laptop when I'm in desperate mode. Will definitely look into this though!!

Why are you even on here if that's your thought process? We're all on here because we want to stop gambling. Probably the strangest thing I've read on here.

Brandon, I read stopbeingaloser's post to mean that he needed to ensure that it couldn't be removed when he was desperate! It is so easy for the written word to be misinterpreted at times, maybe we all need to assume the best when we are reading. SBAL I don't know how Gamban works, but I guess there could be a passcode involved; you could either get someone else to set it up, or type in a random number, copy and paste to confirm and then delete it, so you have no way of taking it off.

Hi stopbeingaloser

I'm looking at blockers now, my plan is to install and let my wife put in a password and if i cannot gain access to something i need outside of gambling she can put her password in and monitor. I've read that some of the software can interupt other things you may want to see/read/buy etc. So thats the plan for me. Maybe this may work for you too.

Welcome , the best way to prevent any further issues is to simply close & ask for self exclusions from all your betting accounts , a very simple process which means you lose the ability to gamble on the roulette and better than any blocker.

On that note, day 2 and I am going strong. Although that is probably because I don't have very much money right now, the real test will be when I get some.

Day 5 and no gambling!! I am in such a bad financial situation right now but I know if I am as frugal as possible for a couple of months, it will soon be fixed. However i'm so tempted to just win a couple of hundred on the roulette wheel to help me out. We all now i won't win though because I'll never stop. Must stay strong!

Well done mate as with seeing the red and black wheel, I used to play the fobts, and any sort of noise to me related too one of games!

It will get easier mate might take time it's like fighting the toughest man you know and trying to win.

Problem being is that man is in your head and it's you! So just kick him in nuts if you feel like your loosing the battle! You can do it pal

Day 7 and GF. Have funds in my account today though and the temptation is so strong.

I actually logged into an account I knew was still active and hovered over "deposit". I fought the urge though and instead started live chat and promptly self excluded.
