Just passed the 6 month mark of no gambling! Seems to be getting easier everyday and have noticed big changes in my relationship with my family as I seem to have more time with them and not being lost in a slot machine from morning till evening or excessively sweating watching a game of football which had no bearing on my life at all I feel in control of my life again and have managed a few mini breaks over the past 6 months with family as is before I wouldn’t have the money to even get a carton of milk for work still a long way to go but it is achievable if you want to stop. Here’s to the next 6 months!!

Well Done,

A lot of hard work will have gone into that.

Sincere ongoing best wishes.

Great stuff!

Please make sure to still have all the gambling blocks in place and don't get too complacent as a relapse is awful.

Keep it going...

Hi

The word RECOVERY for me meant HEALING.

I have seen many people that have abstained from addictions and obsessions yet not healed their pains.

I understand that a healthy recovery is a healing process.

Each time I went back to Gambling I got to understand what my last emotional triggers were.

The addictions and obsessions were a form of escape in so many ways.

Time in recovery empowered me to be more honest.

As I got more honest my fears reduced.

As my fears reduced my trust started to grow.

As my fears reduced my ability to have healthier intimacy grew in the rooms then in time with my family.

All the time we are filled with guilt shame and regret we are living in the pains of our past.

I got to understand that I could not help my self on my own.

I got to understand that I could not stop gambling with out other like minded people.
