After 234 days gamble free I am becoming…..

Happier

Healthier

Fitter

Slimmer

Focused

Determined

Mentally stronger

Less anxious and stressed

A better husband and dad

People’s Friend

I was tempted to just say “normal” but that will never be the case !

Onwards and Upwards ???

Hi

If we invest in our self more time and more energy we become healthy stable whole and healed.

You get to be the person you like being.

I needed to be honest with myself before I could be honest other people.

I needed to love myself before I could love other people.

I needed to respect myself before I could respect other people.

I needed to trust myself before I could trust other people.

Love healing and peace to everyone.

ONE year today was my last (ever) bet! How my mind has been rewired since then and could not agree more with the feelings of success you mention in the initial post. You still going strong Mike?

I did not want to make a new post all about me and my ‘achievement’ because I’m not after any congratulations. The damage that I have caused will go on for many years yet (financially and emotionally) but this is a good start to pave the way to a better future. It’s happening!

I do want to know though, any tips from this point on? One year gamble-free, my opinion is nothing should change, keep on high guard at all times as it’s important not to become complacent. Keep those same barriers in place until anything changes. At the end of the day, i’m a gambler who just doesn’t gamble anymore.

Thoughts?
