Since my own journey started back in 2010 this is one of the major concerns i had some of the people who were absent from gambling may have swapped on addiction to another some of the people at my local Ga had other issues because gambling was no longer an issue alot of these people got away with alot of stuff i picked this stuff quite early on some of those people was people i would never associate outside the meetings and these same people were giving advice to other people simply because they were doing great as they no longer gambled i became skepticsl has time went on some were even criminals for all i know these people in my book were not trained professionals only a small minority of these people i trusted my views completey changed like the addiction each case is different i also want to add some of the best people i have come accross who overcame severe addiction turned out to best of people some had lost their families busnesses yet once they saw the light they are the one who gave the best advice just like each case is different is it fair to say each addict is different the guy who gave me the best of advice was in delustional state nearly lost his wife and kids when he finally admited he had a problem and started Ga he never relapsed and was 12 years bet free yet he still spoke about what addiction cost him and he has to live with it the rest of his life he not became bet free he became the best version of himself i saw this then but couldnt appreciate his advice

Hi Taz

I think you answered the question yourself.

If you are gamble free and have worked on all your character defects, feelings and emotions to become the best version of yourself. If you do that every day and reflect at the end of the day if anything can be improved then yes you are a better person each day. It's not automatic as you say, it takes work but it's a much better place to be
