As  by helping my partner I also  choose not to gamble.  We are 3 years on and going well.

How do you cope with raffle / bonus ball games as a partner of a addict ?

I don't enter them and never had an issue for 3 years but one has come up I want to support the cause of rasing the money but Not take part in the gamble loto.

I would need to discuss with my partner as we share all financial payments with each other.

We have addictions of choice, so you do not have to get hooked on everything you do but with that said you can get addicted to scratchcards and lottos as well so making choices is not easy if you want to support charity. If any advice is not to do them frequently or make a straight donation instead.

Donate the money burn the tickets. I once had this issue and just didn’t accept the tickets. That’s about it really. If you do accept the tickets it can spiral out of control if you do win

Well done for supporting your partner, he’s very lucky to have you. Agree with the others above, donate directly to charity.

I try to do the same and stay away from any form of gambling or using phrases like ‘i bet’, etc. I have realised though how embedded gambling is in the british society (i didn’t grow up here). It‘s just everywhere. Last week we got back from a holiday and Ryanair sells you scratchcards for charity. It must be really tough for recovering gamblers. I just remind myself and my partner that those things are out of our control (non-stop ads, gambling in films etc) and we just have to focus on things that we can control.
