Hi guys.
Id just like to introduce myself as I'm hoping to use this forum a lot over the next few weeks and months.
today I set out to do something I have never accomplished for the last 4 years, to stop gambling.
from horse racing, football, greyhounds, roulette, you name it I have tried and failed.
yesterday was the lowest part of this journey for me as me and my girlfriend were out for an anniversary meal, and I all I could do was sit and watch a horse race which I had bet on over our food. She burst into tears and said I can't do this anymore. As a result of which the most amazing supportive girlfriend has told me she will leave me unless I get myself sorted.
Although I guess I am one of the youngest members on here I believe I have still been through as much of a financial crisis and emotional rollercoaster as any problem gambler and I hope to use this site to help myself and others.
Also, if there is any what's app groups or Facebook groups you guys use I would be grateful if I could be added, as I believe friendship is so importance for each of us.

I'm 32 and have been in your position. have gambled since I was old enough and can share your experience of letting it effect every situation ..weddings holidays meals out I've spent checking my bets but know I need to stop too. you've made the right steps and I am sure with the support you will make it through.
