Hey everyone.
Just thought id say hello as this is the first time ive even tried to seek outside assistance fir my addiction.
I am firm in my belief that the worst thing that can happen when playing roulette is that u win, and win big. I still remember about 7 years ago, the first time i played roulette, i won 2800 with about 100. I had always been a gambler, since i was about 12, putting all my money in the fruit machines in the local amusements. Didnt matter if i win the jackpot, id still put it all back in.
Same applied to the roulette. For me, i actually believed i had a viable system. Bet on the last number spun, or every number that endes the same ie 4 comes out, so i bet in 4,14,24,34 with the max bet on each.
Then it was 1 number above and below the last spun number, all the time convinced i had a system.
Soon i had put all the winnings in, sold my car for 3,500 and bet it all, and lost. I stopped for about 5 years, just didnt entertain them at all.
Then lasto month i had a bit of financial trouble, and actually allowed myself to think 'what if i could win just xxx amount then walk away.
So i put in 49, won 1800 and thought, brilliant, so i paid all debts and had about 400 left. For th next 2 weeks i slowly but surely began visiting the bookies until i was playing daily. Yesterday, i lost 400 and it felt like cr**.
I had got up to about 800 and left, bought a computer at 300 and went back and blew the rest, took computer back for a refund and lost it.
I still have ovwr 1200 in bank, but i refuse to lose anymore. If i win i lose, if i lose i lose.
You actually cant win....ever!!
Correct. We can never accept any win, no matter the value. Therefore it is a total waste of time and energy. Focus that time and energy on other areas of your life, winning money is something that addicts will never achieve. Therefore, its pointless investing any time in to it.
Let's face it, even when we win it just makes it worse as our stakes and eventually our losses get bigger.
The machines always win in the end.
