I'm not new here but I've been off for a long time. I'd love to say that I'm back because I had 1 relapse but the truth is I've never stopped gambling. I have all the blocks in place but I always find a way. All these non gamstop casinos I know they are all probably rouge but to me it's not about winning and withdrawing money it's the buzz of the bonus coming in . I have tried therapy and all sorts but I always give up as its an I don't care attitude that always comes over me. How can I stop this as I hate gambling I really do and I know the outcome before I even play yet I still play, to me this is a form of self harm as I know exactly how I'm going to feel at the end of a session yet I still gamble knowing this. Its just a vicious circle of  feeling down and I know I'm  a slave to gambling and  I can't seem to break the chains!!

Hello @eckybhoy

Thank you for coming back to the forum. We're sorry you've continued to struggle with your gambling but it takes strength to come back and talk about it so we're glad you did.

So between this post and the others you've made today it sounds like you are finding ways around most blocks you've tried. And it also sounds like you're really struggling with your mindset. You've tried therapy and haven't felt able to finish it. Do you think you'd like to give treatment another go? We offer free 1:1 and group treatment here, or there are other options if you need something more. For example there's the NHS treatment clinics and residential rehab options from Gordon Moody Association. Why not contact us on the Helpline to talk it over? We're on 0808 8020 133 or Livechat

Keep posting,

Deirdre
