Nothing much to say as I’ve said it all before, but just wanted to record that I’m back for day one yet again after a horrible 3/4 months of gambling. Feeling really positive after a great chat this evening with a GamCare advisor. Got a counselling assessment appointment booked for Wednesday evening, betting accounts all blocked again, just bookies to sort out, hopefully today can be the first day of a successful journey to end this horrible addiction I have. Again, any advice would be appreciated, my last two attempts to stop have been about a month before relapse, I don’t want the same again.

Not a Gambler myself but in a relationship with a gentleman in recovery. All I want to say to you is you're not alone, these people give excellent advice and support. Lean on anyone and everyone you have to, if you want to beat this addiction enough with everyone's support you will. This time last year my world fell apart with the news of what my boyfriend had done but with love, support, counselling, expert advice and just someone willing to listen he will be receiving his first year pin in GA in about 6 weeks and I will be right there beside him. Go for it, you can beat it and well done for standing up to it once again.

Thank you everybody who’s commented so far, I appreciate it. So far so good, but it’s only been a couple of days, today is my biggest test so far, Royal Ascot is on this afternoon and I’m really tempted, I’ll try to keep myself busy and do something else whilst it’s on and I’ll update everybody at the end of the week how I’ve done.
