About 3 years ago my partner saw my gambling on my iPad and the debt I had made up which was about £25k..after a while she agreed to stay with me as we had bought a house and had a little one together..I had told her I would stop gambling..which I did for a few months but then slipped back into it and was caught a few days back..my partner now has said she wants to split up and sell the house with us going our separate ways..I have banned myself from online gambling and am seeking help to get myself back on track..she’s annoyed at the lies and the fact I would never have money come the end of the month and she would need to pick things up..I would always pay my bills and anything that would need to be paid. Looking for some advice on what to do to try and get her back if there is anything but she seems made up at the moment.

Hello sj10,

Well done for joining the forum and thanks for sharing some of your story.

It sounds like a challenging time for you all.

It is understandable that you are focused on your relationship at the moment, and it is good that you are posting in a forum for recovery. Perhaps making progress in your recovery could improve prospects for your relationships.

Using this forum can allow you to learn from others in recovery, and sharing peer support can help you too.

I wonder if you are based in Britain, and if so, might be willing to talk with us on our freephone 0808 8020 133. We can help you access additional support, if you like, like free 1-2-1 appointments.

Take care,

Adam.
