I am a compulsive gambler who bets on fobt machines. Have had a few big wins, but when I win I eventually put it back in and more. Reading the stories on here, I can identify with my own patterns. Giving up from now and hope that this post can motivate me to do so.

Not sure how bad your issues are but if there not a place that is so out of control. My advice would be to deal with it now....if you carry on reading the posts you will realise that it can take a grip of your life the it's a huge deep cave to get out of.

Hi profbets - Good that you have realised that gambling is a no-hoper and that you need to give it up for good. Have you self-excluded?
Not sure if you visit bookies or if you use online sites, but self-exclusion is an immense help.
Also installing an online blocking program really prevents further temptation. Then you can concentrate on getting a new life free from the curse of FOBTs.
I see you are joining the 2014 Challenge - that's great as you will find a lot of support there.
