Hi so after a couple of years of gambling I have finally decided to close all my betting accounts.

So just a quick story about my gambling history over the past few years. I started gambling when I was 18 at the start it was a bit of fun on Saturday putting ВЈ5 or £10 on a few teams to win and getting a small fortune back all good for 3 or 4 months. Then the stakes got bigger and I started to lose money and chase my losses betting on random teams I hadn't heard of and piling big amounts on them stupid thing to do but we learn from our mistakes.

I tried to stop gambling but it was so hard to do so watching the football on television and having a cheeky bet while watching it but never seeming to win anything. The only way I was going to be able to stop was to quit betting seems easy but I couldn't. Around this time last year I didn't have work for around 2 months (I'm a plumber) it was so tough not having an income for them 2 months so you can guess what I done alot of gambling every day losing money continuously.

Then work finally picked up I worked everyday I could to earn money that I lost from gambling. Fast forward to last summer my mates asked did I want to go on a lads holiday ofcourse I did but I couldn't all my money went on bills and food only if I hadnt bet I could of went with the money I wasted on stupid bets. After they came back we never really spoke much working around the clock all the time I couldn't really socialise with them it was tough not having a life but I had to work to get some of this money back. Almost forgetting I was in a relationship during this time we split up as we never got to spend time together because of work or do anything because I had little money to spend another thing betting had ruined in my life. This period was the toughest period in life not talking much to friends and leaving a relationship it was gambling 1 Nathan 0. I started gambling again until 2 weeks ago I realised I had to stop for good so that's when I decided to close all my betting accounts it was tough but I had to watching football on tv is so much easier now not having to worry about what bet is going to let u day only thing to worry about now is being able to watch Chelsea for 90 mins now lol.

Textbook case of working all hours you can simply to fund the addiction . Imagine moving forward what you can do with the money you will earn. We all have some kind of inner strength to work hard despite everything around us , as it funds our habit . Good move to cancel and exclude your accounts . Put as many blocks in place that you can . Have a read around this forum there are some great people here prepared to invest their time in you to help you stop .
