Hi. I haven't posted on the forum for a long ling time, but as a recap, am a 44 year old female with £33k gambling debt from online slots. For the past few years I've literally blown the majority of my wages on slots and have spent days on end worrying myself sick about how to get through until the next payday. Not even the highest APR wageday loan companies will lend me money now because I'm so in debt and behind with payments.
I tried gamban but would always end up asking my son to borrow his tablet or phone. The only solution I had was to register for gamstop. 26 days ago (at rock bottom) my registration was finally completed. I believe this is the ONLY way I will ever be gambling-free.
Why didn't they invent this years ago? I always used to say that I wished I could ban myself from every casino going and my dreams have finally come true.

I joined a few days ago. Went into such a panic, what have I done? kind of thing. It actually showed me how much I relied on these on oline slots. Now I am so glad I have done it. This has been a godsend to me. Please keep your guard up though because not all of the providers are involved with this yet, thankfully for me it has been enough to reinforce that I cannot gamble online although I know if I tried hard enough I could probably find one to do so, I have not done this and I’m pretty sure that I won’t be looking any time soon! Hopefully by the end of the year it will become legislation and there’s a means to an end for us CG’s! Keep strong.
