As the title suggest guys if your problem is online gambling then seriously get rid of all smart devices.. lets be honest how much would you really miss them if you were not using them for gambling? its made it so much simpler for me to resist the urges with no easy access to it. also i dont find myself sitting on facebook for hours now either and actually have time for my wife and daughter. Aswell as not having access to gambling it restrics your access to pay day loan websites and online banking. we now how 1 ipad which i may check my facebook in the eveing but it has a password on that my wife only knows and she will make sure she is with me while using it just incase, which i think is great.

i also had a problem with sports betting at terminals in the bookies but with no phone to be able to constanly keep an eye on the score, it is great.

get a new nokia 3310 costs £50 and 5 pound a month for unlimited texts and calls... best thing i have ever done [have to thank my wife for the idea]

have a great GF day guys, a year ago i was plagued with debt and now a year on my debts are nearly paid off and we have just been accepted for our first mortgage after getting married in florida earlier in the year :] its not the end of the world guys unless you want it to be but i am living proof that with hard work and honesty and support that you can and WILL beat this

xx

Hi tunnie,

Thank you for sharing your experience here and it is good to hear that having a phone that doesn´t allow you to get online has made a difference to you.

While we are not keen on advertising individual products here, it looks like the phone you mention is the only product currently on the market that does not allow you any internet access. Do let us know, should this not be the case.

All the best for your ongoing recovery!

Gabriele

Good on you, if you can do that it’s great. I’d struggle, I think we have all come to rely on them so much. (Although I did love my old Nokia phone!)

However, I am making a point of leaving mine at home now, when I can. Like yesterday afternoon (used to be my main day for gambling) went shopping and felt free for not having it on me. If we have a walk to the pub with the dog I also leave it at home, you see more, talk more when you haven’t got your head buried in a screen.

I admire you for getting rid though, shows how serious and how you’ll go to any lengths to beat this!

i am not sure to be honest i think you can buy quite a few tupes of old phones from supermarkets ranging from £10 to £50. me and my wife have not spoken this much in ages its actually really nice also never having to worry about leaving my phone anywhere incase she sees the gambling apps... such a relief.. well i told her i would do anything to get rid of this demon so if getting rid of a phone is what it takes then i am all for it :]
