Loosing my family

Hi I have stopped the gambling I’ve put all the blockers into place and don’t feel the need or even want to do the gambling again in my life.

the biggest reason as to why I feel this way is because of my partner she is my rock and i have hurt her to much by gambling, we have been together for 8’years now and have been through so much together.
the problem is she no longer trusts me and says that she can’t keep looking over her shoulder anymore. I’ve tried to reassure her that I’ll never do it again and have asked her for one last shot of forgiveness but says she can because I have broken her completely, does anybody have any idea as to what I can do to show her I’m serious this time and all I want is her and our family?

Hi Billy, I am currently going through the same thing. Me and partner have been together 6 years he has caught me gambling which is something he never knew about. I have absolutely broken him and I am 6 months pregnant with our second child.

I am sorry you are going through this and I really hope you can work through your problems. I just wanted you to know your not alone. I suppose these things will take time and some support may help regain her trust.

I wish you all the best on your recovery journey x

Thank you I have shown her all the steps I’ve taken so far,  I’m hoping that will show her she can start to trust me again.
I have also completely broken my partner aswell but I’m trying to show her that I’ve changed.

I hope that your partner can do the same and you manage to sort everything out.
