Hi Ian
After reading some recent great advice and admiring your way of putting across so well what you say I felt compelled to search your username and read your 'back story'. It will take a while of course.
I was just wondering if you would be kind enough to take the time to put in words your own personal journey over the last few years and where you are currently.
I believe it could be very interesring and could well be an inspiration for us all.
Thanks for reading.

Hi Mark,
Just caught this as I was about to get some kip (I have a rather insomnia filled life...Not helped by an excessive 'eating Jaffa Cakes at innapropriate times of day' habit!!).
Thanks alot for the compliment in finding something of use in my ramblings, that's genuinely the best thing I could've ever hoped for. I have to stress that when giving advice or opinion I'm not just looking to offer assistance to everyone else but also taking a big chunk of positive self-affirmation for myself, so it isn't entirely altruistic and I'm really grateful that everyone here (thus far) has allowed me the opportunity to do so. It's a big help to me and my recovery.
I do have a diary in the Recovery Diary section but it is rather scant. There's a post from 6 years ago that kind of outlines how things got to where they were when my problem hit 'rock bottom' and a new post from over the last few days that says a little about where I am now but there is obviously a heck of a big gap and loads I could fill in.
That gap was all gambling free but thinking about it, that didn't 'just happen' there were things I did to make that happen and plenty of moments of temptation so filling in some of that gap might be a really good idea, and if it's useful to anyone else I have no problem sharing anything at all.
I'll get on to this over the weekend (it's great to have the distraction).
Righto, for now though, it's bedtime *puts the Jaffa Cakes down*
Thanks again for the interest!
Hi Time to stop
Noticed that you havent posted on here since Aug last year.
If your still around I hope you're good and well.
For anyone else reading this I would maybe suggest clicking on time to stops profile and reading some of the advice thats been posted. It may just help you if you're currently struggling
Affected by gambling?
