Great to hear from you guys and appreciate the comments I seriously want to contact some companies and raise the concerns that have caused us and continue to cause many life changing financial issues and could so easy be avoided or reduced, yes we firstly have to look in mirror but after that these companies show so little duty of care I really struggle to understand how they get away with it !! If I was say a alcoholic I would not be able to go into a pub and just drink without management stepping in ??

Who pays for the morphine for drug addicts recovering ? Do we get money to place a bet to over our urges.

now I not suggesting we should nor do I have anything against anyone fighting an addiction and receiving help. I just want companies to have some responsibility and to switch on to the huge problem that we are now facing and it's only going to get worse !! Things have to change !!

when you look online even the national press are jumping all over this gambling epidemic ! If I can stop 1 person betting by my experience and guidance it will be worth while having this drive, focus and passion its really uplifting and I'm going to see if I can contact some press offices and maybe together we can get some positive results!!

Whilst I admire the sentiment in what you are saying I would suggest that for the time being you focus on your own battle . We will win the war eventually but for now , so early into your recovery I would focus on you and solely you . You need to take this opportunity to be a bit selfish and get a few days behind you gambling free . You seem to have a great mindset and if there is any help or advice you require myself and plenty of others will be on hand to support you

I wish you all the luck on your endeavour to campaign for tighter regs. Personally I think it will be one hell of an uphill struggle to find anyone who will listen to you. The hardest thing about all of this is no one understands our behaviour fully, not even ourselves. The vast majority of people aren’t CG’s so we will always struggle to receive empathy as there is a lack of understanding. Only addicts can relate to the crazy irrational behaviour we show, they get it as they’ve been there in some sense. The fat cats who take us and the public to the cleaners haven’t been there and they don’t care about us. The Tory government are probably fully behind these companies as they emulate what they do. Keep the poor poor and the rich rich.

Apologies if this came across as overly pessimistic, it’s not how it was intended.
