About a year and a half ago I went from zero to 100 gambling, I’ve lost thousands had to take out a loan, borrowed money and just haven’t been able to stop. I’ve lied made my family angry and upset. they make it so easy to gamble and the adverts on tv are painful. I ban my self from sites but there’s always others. I’m on the verge of losing everything. I was always the sensible one never addicted to anything but I’ve lost control of this.
Hi, firstly well done for reaching out we all know how you feel about this. You say you have banned yourself from sites but have you got any blockers in place to stop the others being found?
If not you should register with Gamstop for 5 years which stops access to sites, put a blocker on your phone or whatever you use, I have Betblocker installed for 5 years and it cannot be removed. Also contact your Bank to stop all transactions to gambling sites.
I would recommend talking to a Gamcare advisor as they can help you with advice on how to cope, maybe organise some counselling.
