Hi I've decided after a few years, of trying to convince myself I dont have a gambling problem, that I am ready to deal with this!Â
I've not gambled for three days now, and by doing this I've saw the devastation o have caused I'm in debt, scared because im in debt.Â
And completely ashamed at what I've put my family through.
This I'm finding much hard than I am the gambling itself, which in turn makes me want to gamble to easy my feelings. I know this is so stupid as the more I gamble the more I add to these feelings.
Thank you for reading I'm glad I've found a place i can let this out as right now i dont any rights to say these things to the people I live it as it was all my own faultÂ

Hi, I'd thought I'd drop you a line to wish you well. My anxiety is shocking as too, so I "play" for escapism - but then I feel much worse, so I understand what you mean. Nothing is your "fault" however, no-one would put themselves through what it feels like to gamble if they were at peace with themselves or their situation. Eventually the gambling part of your life will just be a memory. For me it's still very much in the present. I hope I can get past it. All the best.

Hiya Mrs marblesÂ
Let's start by saying well done and your not on your own the vast majority off problem gamblers on this site are in severe debt. What you should try and do and if possible get your debt put into one manageable payment so as you can afford it each month so you don't try and chase your losses to pay what you can't afford, citizens advice can help with this or talk to an adviser on this site as they know all the ins and outs. You should also put your debt down to a loss I know this is hard but its in the past and gone noway of getting that back as if you just keep chasing before you know it your debt would've doubled. You can also register with gamban and gamstop this will bar you from accessing betting sites therefore for helping you on your road to recovery being gamble free taking one day at a time plus no more losses as your gambling is over. Don't get me wrong it's not an easy journey and many off us relapse and that's why we put the blocks in place to limit the harm. Gambling is such a horrible addiction but with help and commitment you can achieve a lot of people on this site have done amazing that can be you starting from that one day good luck on your journeyÂ
Thank you for responding to all x
