Hi all, I'm new to the site but ready to take control of my life again. I've been gambling about 3 month but in that short time I've lost a lot of money, always chasing my losses which of course never happens. I have a very loving and supportive partner who has stuck by me, says a lot about her as a person when I've lied to her about what the money has gone on. Last night I let her down again, I hate seeing the disappointment on her face when she knows we've to struggle another month because of my actions. Today that changes for me, I ready to seek support before it gets out of hand and I lose everything. Any words of advice and support would be appreciated.
Thanks Zoe
Hiya, the money is lost move past this! after two years of gambling for me and a hell of a lot of money, I'm working on accepting this fact.
You have come to the right place before this addiction takes hold and believe me it does take hold, a week back I almost lost marriage! And very upset children because of what I'd done.
My advice to you is nip this in the bud now! As for the struggle for a month, you will feel bad because if this, you can change however change this, by never doing it again!
Go to gamstop and put a block on so you cannot gamble also, you can have a gambling block on your bank account, I've done all of these and I'm only on day 5 of no gambling it have helped a lot.
I wish you all the bestÂ
