Hi,

I'm currently in around 6K debt from recent habbits. Someone said to me think of it like this; 'The money is not coming back, you can take steps to stop yourself making the situation worse. There is people on here and elsewhere that have lost tens, even thousands of pounds to this addiction. The situation can be much worse but you can make a change to prevent it.'

I never realized how true that statement was till today, when again I lost even more money and have more debt to pay off. I will be joining you as I hate gambling. I hope you have a good success and recovery.

In my opinion, there is no real 'jackpot'. The money you win from gambling is basically just a short-term loan because we never stop when we do win or when we are close to being 'up'.

You must stop associating feelings with gambling

" i signed up to gamstop and it feels better than winning the jackpot"

Your brain is associating every emotion with gambling if you want to properly recover this must stop

This is because otherwise the feelgood "feeling" will soon wear off and you will turn back to gambling
