found myself here for the first time last night, throughout my life I’ve faced a constant battle of trying to control my gambling, with the evil twin inside my head always pushing me to do more.
this is not the first time I have gambled every single penny I own, I know the consequences of my actions (losing my family) I’m engaged and have a little boy who mean the world to me, however once that demon inside me lights up, I always convince myself I’m doing it to make a better life for them, I still can’t really put my finger on it but it’s such a horrible addiction and I am this close to losing everything, I spent over an hour last night on live chat speaking to someone who seemed to understand what I was going through and reassured me I wasn’t alone, I have used the gambling blockers etc, but I just feel like there’s always a way around it, not anymore though! I have now been reassured you can speak to your bank and block all betting site purchases. Today is the day I change my life for good and sorry for the essay but this is day 1 towards a better life with my family.
2nd day no gambling, realisation of the after effects of the damage I did on Friday night!Â
fingers crossed I can prove myself to be what I need to be for my family! gambling sites are blocked on phone and laptop, waiting for the next step and a chat with a counsellor ?
