this is really hard for me but we’re all here for the same reason.
i remember buying scratchcards when i was 16 but never thought it was a problem, when i hit 18 i started going to bingo and it was never a problem. However two years ago something happened and all i can do is gamble, as soon as i get paid i spend it all on online slots.
i haven’t told anyone because I'm embarrassed and ashamed. i gambled my wages the other day and have nothing now , the same story every month. I’m sick of having no money and making excuses not to do anything. Im constantly borrowing money and being asked wheres all my money gone.
i always think ‘this will be the day i stop’ but then i get paid and its gone within minutes
i always feel so depressed but i just can’t help myself. I cant believe ive spent 2 years of wages on this ridiculous addiction, i just dont know what to do anymore ?

It should be some comfort to you that you are not the only person controlled by this addiction.
There is ultimately no shame in admitting to a gambling addiction.
It can be made history. You must not resign yourself to its power. Do you want this awful misery to stop? There is proper help and advice for you
You dont need it in your life and you will be confused because the cravings work like a drug addiction. You may also be thinking its all going to come right because you dont understand the odds on those slots.
They are the crystal meth of gambling and they will completely destroy you
You can help yourself but it takes more than willpower while your mind heals. People close can help you. We can help you and gamcare can help you.
You dont need gambling in your life. You know the misery its caused you There is a better way. Its a born again moment when you feel a serenity in honesty, truth and reaching out for help
It does come right when the gambling stops. How can I get through to you? I have money now but more importantly I have control and direction in my life. I have peace of mind
