Well didn't think id be here,quick background always been a gambler horses, trained greyhounds for years and my social life centres round going to the pub and gambling(obviously not atm)Im lucky ive no credit card debts,ive money to live on and some savings.Ive found myself mindlessly gambling,as ive put in title its like a numbness now,i feel nothing,like ive lost the value of money.This is what scares me.Im going to try and write everyday about how im feeling.I always feel like im chasing something,i over eat and im overweight,i live by myself so loneliness and boredom are issues for me.
Anyway I`ll stop going on,am planning to take one day at a time and welcome any advice/interaction on this post.
One day at a time MY friend that is the only way we can do it, I'm glad to hear you've No7 debt as that just adds to the situation. I guess it's been hard for you living on your own in lockdown. Sometimes you think what else is there for me to do, well anything but gamble as if you keep it up you will have debts I can guarantee you this plus the losses do climb and before you know it your at the top of the ladder. I hadn't bet for over a year got an e-mail and thought no one will miss ÂŁ10 my partner won't even notice well one hour later nearly £8000 in debt and that's the God's honest truth I've got no way of getting it back and last week for the first time in my life I had to go to a church for 2 food parcels how embarrassed and ashamed I felt but I don't know what I would've done without them. The evil addiction can wreck everything in no time I know it's my fault but I'm a problem gambler and will be till the day I die. Try to keep up gamble free and always seek help as we help each otherÂ
