Hello everyone!

I just self excluded myself from 3 local bookies in my latest bid to stop gambling. I have now got a close support network around me which I never had on my previous attempts to stop gambling. I will attend GA meetings next week and see what they are about as ive never been to one because ive always put it off going but whst harm can it do if I go? None atall so I'll try it out.

I know I have it in me to stop but the past 2 years have been so hard to stay away. But now ive told close friends and family this will be a new starting point for me.

I can now start paying back my £4000 debt instead of blowing it in the bookies every singe week.

Tip: if you are a compulsive gamble too, I suggest you self exclude from shops and online, attend free 1-1 counceling (I need to go back to this) and most importantly tell someone clse to you, I know it's hard but you are helping yourself by doing this.

Thanks for reading

Chris.

Well done Chris on being so positive, it's that sort of attitude, that hopefully will see you beat it.

So many people are embarrassed about self excluding from shops in particular. I know I was embarrassed just closing down online accounts, although it was easier, if I had just done my money and had a really bad run, as I unfairly rant about how poor the return to player payouts were and therefore, I wanted my account closed down with immediate effect.

That's what gambling does to you though, I never be that rude in life, but after gambling, I could turn into an insane person.
