Take heart Spaingone - another day and you'll have got through this tough weekend.

Hope springs eternal, and I'm sure your lady is missing you too.

Hi SpainGone

I've been reading your posts with empathy. Empathy because I could be you as could many others and though I have not lost anything like you I ask you to ponder this (this is first time I've shared this).... I have lost my health through no fault of my own, I have worked hard all my life, looking after family and building up my career for it all to be snatched away due to an incurable, debilitating disease and if that isn't bad enough in the midst of going through this I discover online slots last summer! Previously I was a CG on the slots in arcades/bingo halls but had stopped for over 15/20 years.....this has shown me once a CG always a CG. I thought when I signed up that after all that time I could handle it....how wrong was I.....after an initial win it has sucked away so much of my money. I was scared, terrified like you I would use up money that's for my retirement due to ill health. I kept playing and playing chasing loses and loses until reality really hit me a number of data ago when I lost £1,100 in hours on online slots. This time it hit home and I immediately closed down all my accounts. It's been hard, taking one day at a time but do as others have said enjoy yeh days out which I can no longer do, breathe in fresh air be happy to be alive, working without debilitating health worries - right now I would trade in every £ I'll get for ill health retirement to get a normal life back. Money means nothing when you've lost independence through illhealth - enjoy simple things in life, take one step at a time, be positive, I' know how frantic you'll be about your pension pot but start to save a bit one month at a time and you'll manage to build up something to help you. Talk to your gf, when she sees you're determined to stop she'll support you. Take care and I really hope you take what I mean from this post. I feel for you from the bottom of my heart but channel your thoughts NOT on how much you have lost but on how much TIME you have now gained and money being gamble free. Be strong and I'll post in a few days to see how you are.

Mo

I am sorry you are suffering from a health point of view and thank-you for your positive post to try and help me, maybe when my thoughts are more positive i will be able to offer you some support.
