Sorry Mr B - senior moment there. My 'financial music' level is: 1. Got mixed up as the other 'positives' were high numbers....
Confused of Tunbridge Wells
Thanks Joanna - you'll see the method in the madness with Sunday's update as to the 2 positives and the 2 negatives.

My main issue is trying to regain the trust of my wife & family, who for many years I told lies, lies and more lies. It's hard, but I keep reminding myself daily that if I ever gamble again, I lose my family. It's a no brainer for me!
Have a good week.
Mike
Hi Mr B
You rightfully corrected me (us) !!!
My finances are fortunately a 1
Cheers
Glads dad
Evening every buddy!
A massive congrats to Mike (Happy Days) on reaching the 200 days!! You're putting days in the locker, money in the bank and as every week goes by, the trust will be growing. Be patient mate and keep doing the things you are doing......you're an absolute winner now!!
GamAddict - welcome to the challenge Nikki! I've left a message on the very front page for you - follow the asks and read the various bits and bobs on there too! It's never too late to join us though.....and we'd be delighted to have you in the ranks!
Thanks to the half dozen who have checked in so far and answered the 'volume' questions.......it could be another thing to provide those early in the journey with some advice and encouragement. We need a really decent sample size though across a full spectrum of recovery periods. We will be able to write a book after this......and maybe even support a graduate with a dissertation or something!
So today is the calendar half way point......I guess in a way we're heading towards the 2014 finishing line......but only to complete one leg in the race!
Hope you all enjoy the sunshine, the footy and the tennis this week........and enjoy it for the amazing sporting spectacle they are!!
This is Mr Brightside......checking in on 204 days of freedom!!

Checking in and struggling! It's***t me like a tonne of bricks today how much I spent last month. Payday was yesterday and nearly 500 has gone out and another 650 ready to go in the next couple of days on payday and my bank loans. So my financial music has shot up after I left it quietly in the back of my mind. This is exactly the time I would try to win back some money. But I'm not going anywhere near a place I can lose the 40 quid i have for the month haha. Birthday tomorrow, celebrate it without a bet, bliss!

Forgot to check in on sunday but still clean from gambling,, had a rough few weeks,, constant obsessive suicidal and self harm thoughts ended up in a&e,, being seen by mental health ppl every day at the moment and im in the process of changing my antidepressant medication. Gambling distracted me and im still searching for healthy distractions to fill the void, its tough.

My advice to new people self exclude where possible this puts a big wall between you and gambling.
Also talk to a supportive person who can help you along this journey.
