Hi Mr B and fellow Challengers -
Haven't been around much this week as my 'Life Music' is drowning out everything else, thankfully. The rollercoaster analogy is great for all those ups and downs, but as a speed queen I see my journey being on a high-speed train hurtling towards its destination. I've felt like pulling the communication cord a few times, but remembered all the hassle it would cause, so refrained!
Mr B - I hope this week hasn't been as tough for you as you envisaged and that you are coming through whatever was giving you grief. As many have said before, we are right behind you and if positivity could be bottled would be sending you a tanker-ful!
Best wishes to all.
Joanna, checking in on Day 172.
Day 1 again. Self excluded from all online accounts now and also all shops in local area.
With each slip I have found myself closer to beating this as strange as it seems.
Off to America for four weeks travelling on Sunday so definitely no gambling and a good break from life.
Have a good weekend everyone.
Checking in day 84 stay strong
Checking in on day 22! The urge to gamble isn't there like I thought it would be with all these games of football happening! Hopefully it continues this way.
Hello challengers day204 on Sunday just checkin in weekend off brill staying strong hitthefanx
Checking in 375 GF days, stay strong people.
Del 🙂
Checking in on day 7. It is a low number again but still feeling really positive and like I am in a good place. Hopefully the family are reaping the benefits even if they don't entirely know why.
Well done to everyone marching though the week. Happy weekend folks.
Checking in on day 154....still crazy busy. I worry about spending money on things that are needed round the house and then I remind myself that 154 days ago I would have thought nothing at throwing hundreds if not thousands away on gambling. I am in a really stable place financially now and things are only going to improve if I never gamble again.
Checking in with zero thoughts of gambling, hope everyone else is fighting strong aswell.
I'm thinking of vacating this challenge to be honest team as the only time I actually think about gambling is when I log into the site. I'm in no way saying I'm cured or anything of the sort or that I don't think the challenge has 100% helped me, it's just that I tend to not read much anymore of the site as I just don't have the time.
The challenge has for sure been a massive step in my recovery but I think it's time to try and continue my progress without gamcare for the time being.
I'll pop back on now and again to see how everyone is doing, I will still not let myself or you all down, but it's time to leave everything gambling related for the mean time.
I wish you all well, Mr B you are a legend for what you do and have done for me in my recovery. But this soldier has to go solo for the time being.
Seriously all take it easy, fight the fight, be strong and remember, I can't win because I can't stop.
All the best,
Drew
Check in Day 169. Good luck!
bye drew
All the best to you Drew - I understand fully where you are coming from - hopefully a case of your life music drowning out everything else.
Great news and best wishes for the future. : 0)
Checking in, gamble free 🙂
Cant remember what day I am on now haha
Afternoon everyone,
Drew - it's a delight that you are ready to move on. The Challenge was never meant to be something that completely ties someone in.......it is meant to be one tool that can be used as part of recovery - the fact it's played a part is tremendous. I wish you all the best on your personal mission......but you'll never be alone. Thanks for signing off!!
Thanks for all the check ins folks - I get the sense there's a few more to come......hopefully it'll be a good week. Stay together and march on!!
