2014 Challenge

Cheers for the mention Mr.B it's greatly appreciated. day 56 done and dusted for me, my next milestones will be February 2nd (2 months gamble free) and the Sunday after (8th) if achieved will be the longest I have ever stopped for. Life is throwing more curved balls at me personally but whilst I am not gambling I have at least one reason to be cheerful and being part of the this group is part of my ever increasing motivation to keep Going. great work as always and best wishes to everyone on here. Day 57. Check.

I have changed my username from Rock_Bottom to The_Rock. This is as i feel i am no longer "rock bottom" and wanted to reflect this positive change. All the time i talked about "hitting rock bottom" but it wasn't until i hit that point i knew how bad things could get. Pleased to say that I have no desire to ever go back there again. Have a good day everyone.

I replied to you on my own diary. Apologies again mate, don't worry, won't miss any more check-ins. I plan to check in every Friday evening. I like Fridays, the feel good factor. End of the working week for most folk so i feel its a good time to check in 🙂

Anyway, for now, belatedly checking in... Day 65 - No Gambling.. Feeling good, strong, focussed and positive about the future. I'M CHOOSING LIFE!

DAY 2- CHECKING IN. Finding it hard at the moment, cold turkey for me. When its 100 days and 200 days i will be thrilled.

Day 5 checking in. No gambling today. Half way through doing a deal on a new car so there won't be any place for slip ups as I will have no ' spare cash'. Decided would rather be in debt with a car rather than continuing my self destruct and running round in an old banger. Opted for a nissan note.

Checking in on day 4, no thought whatsoever about having a bet, even with football on last night. Out of the country now until Sunday evening 🙂

Almost half way through another week and good to see the check ins starting to roll in. There's a couple of soldiers who have gone quiet - ashamed, Phil.....getting a bit concerned at your silence - not like you.

Hey guys and gals

so its been a good/great day. im completely wrecked after another night without much sleep (teething 1 year old) but I have not gambled for 50 days. I just finished my bottle of wine and now gonna hit the sack in the hope I get at least 3 hours sleep before the old age torture of a childs crying kicks in! I am very proud of myself and everyone else staying strong and fighting the good fight!

Well done on hitting the 50 Linda! Its my day 44 and I am loving this new life. Life without gambling is so much better and I am feeling so positive about things.

Looking forward to the update this Sunday to see how we are all getting on.
