Big shout out to hardtimes and of course Mr B for achieving the 100 day mark this week. I have had a very difficult week in terms of my personal life however could not have been further away from thoughts of gambling! Maybe something has clicked at last.

Thanks to Delboy79 and all others who have given me praisefor reaching 100 days last Monday. It was encouraging to read.

Welcome to all new members and hang on in there. There is a way out...

Hope you all have a nice weekend 🙂

hey,

Im Aimee and still new here but I have read a lot about this 2014 challenge so I am willing to try it out and give it a go! I dont suppose it counts that its only been half an hour since my last 🙁 but I am going to put my all into making that my last deposit (and loss >.< ) for as long as I potentially can!!

Everybody on here already are beyond inspirational and I can only applaud each and every one of you for how well you are doing!

Hi Aimee - welcome to our merry band!

You have made a good start - I am only on Day 19 of my gamble-free life, but already feel so much better, and you will too. Remember every half-hour grows into an hour and soon you will be clocking up days and months.

It will be hard for you I am sure, as it is and has been for us all, but you will always find wise words and support here.

Good wishes,

Joanna

Checking in for the week on day 7

I had my 1st real test on Wednesday night. Was out for friends birthday and we heading to a club. Had good bit of drink on board and as we were leaving few of the others decided they would go in next door to the casino. I never really was 1 for the casino but would of usually went in put bit of money on the roulette wheel. But Wednesday night I decided to say no and just go back to the house and an early night. Was good decision as most lost a few euro in the casino, felt good coming home from night in that club with a bit of money in my pocket

Checking in on day seven.

Still picking up the pieces of my latest relapse. Online casino seems not to want to process my withdrawal and I'm now worrying about the bank account if they don't. I never really thought the gambling industry was fair but the experience is making me even more determined to steer clear for good.

Wishing everyone an great, gamble free weekend.

Not sure how many days I am up to now - all I know is it is 7 more than it was last week!! Won't get a chance to check in before Sunday but I know I won't go near any gambling sites as I'm away tomorrow night and won't be near the internet!! Anyway, I don't feel the same urges any more so hopefully even if it was an option I would walk away from it!
